Davis hasn't signed with an agent so that one is far from over. Hogg hasn't declared so that one is even farther from over ... at this point.

Hogg is more about off the court issues than the draft but if we lose Davis, we will lose most of the leadership off of this year's team...

AginAz:

Agree that Davis would be the most significant loss of the names in your OP.
Let's hope that he gets good advice on his NBA prospects, doesn't want to play in Europe immediately ... and returns to A&M next season.

Hogg would be wise to do so as well. While he might get a spot in the NBA D league, I don't believe his game comports to the next level as AC, Jones or House ... and we all see how that's turned out for them thus far.

All of our juniors would do well to return for another year They are improving year over year and one more year could make the difference in them getting drafted or even a free agent shot. Even Davis will likely have a tough time getting drafted by anybody looking for immediate help.

They could help themselves and help A&M at the same time by giving their development another year at this level.

Actually, for that matter...Robert Williams could help himself by spending one more year at A&M...his development from year one to year two has already helped him immensely and one more year would have done nothing but help...but the kid has tremendous untapped potential--even so, one more year of maturity and honing his offensive game would have helped him tremendously. He will likely still be a very high pick--but by a team that can afford to take him as he is and hope they can develoop him to his potential before he gets beat up too badly by the bigs that are going to be banging on him every day and night. Nonetheless, I commend him for coming back for year 2 instead of being a one and done guy.

Davis and Williams need to work on their outside shot and Hogg needs to work on his physicality (he needs to show that he can slash to the hole).

Davis could probably shed a few pounds and limber up as well.

It's real hard for Williams to find a reason to return.

Davis is a very likely 2nd Rd. pick, but could another year at A&M make him a 1st round pick?

It is not that uncommon for players like Davis or Hogg to declare, not hire an agent, get feedback from the pros, then return for their senior season. Now if he gets favorable evaluations he may go pro. We will just have to wait and see.

No surprise if all your buddies are leaving--or at least checking out the market--that you would do the same...

I still hope for the sake of the program first and for their personal chance of making it on to any teams active or developmental roster that they listen to the feedback they get from the league and come back to try and improve their competitive position in next year's draft...

It could and should be a win-win for all that do... Gig 'em

What would Tyler gain by coming back? His game hasn't improved in two seasons, and won't coming back for another.

He'll ensure gaining an invaluable degree.

He'll enjoy the final year of his college experience.

With all of the one and done stuff and the sophs and juniors declaring early, the NBA is not quality basketball anymore.

When you compare it to how the game was played even just 10 years ago, you see the deterioration of skills and basic understanding of the game.

It just seems to be highly organized playground basketball.

The best basketball being played in the US is being played in college.

Davis showed that he has some work to do guarding athletic big guys who can put the ball on the floor. Easy for me to say but I would return and continued working on my game. Gig 'em

davis is obviously considering returning or he would have hired an agent.

He really needs to develop a more consistent mid range shot.

Who knows what he will do. He won't be drafted this year, in my opinion, so unless he is willing to go Europe with Hogg, he may return.
