Gone in Round #1 is Grayson Rodriguez. A flame thrower out of Nacogdoches going to the Orioles at pick No. 11.

This was one of those that you could just count on going early and opting for MLB. Good luck to the former A&M commit. I assume the two parties will come to terms...

Somehow UF and Vandy get kids like the ones listed above to play college ball. They have several kids on both teams that turned down $2+M signing bonuses to play college ball.

Today is when the rubber meets the road and we see how good our recruiting class will end up.

Current A&M pitcher Nolan Hoffman is chosen by the Mariners in the 5th round. The Aggie RHP was pick #148.

Probably safe to assume he is headed to MLB.

Good luck to the young man and Thanks...for the memories...

Chosen in Round 7, Pick 207 is Aggie senor power pitcher Cason Sherrod. He goes to the Marlins organization.

Good luck, Cason.

Through 10 rounds and it looks like the Aggies can retain possibly all but three of their high school signees.

Aggie signee Jonathan Childress has gone undrafted.

LHP - Joseph Menefee and RHP - Brandon Birdsell, Aggie signees, have both gone undrafted through 10 rounds.

Players Hellman and Andritos (sp?) have not been drafted, as well.

You are down into the $100,000 to 150,000 signing ranges right now...but beginning with the 11th, I think there is more money available if needed...

I think the draft concludes tomorrow.

Hellman drafted #334 in the 11th round by Twins.

Thoughts are that he is gone.

Brandon Birdsell RHP is taken by the Astros #1182 in 39th Round.

He was slated to be in round 3 or 4 but had Tommy John surgery. Reportedly back to throwing in the mid-90's. He is coming to A&M.
