Gus and A&M/SEC proven hater Joel Klatt. Man, we better own this game from 1st Quarter until the end...The boy is pretty good until he interjects his personal feelings. A bdf tout with flawed logic...

Quote:
NEW YORK, NY – FOX Sports today announces its all-star lineup of exciting announcers, expert analysts, veteran hosts and intrepid reporters set to cover the network’s best-ever college football schedule when the season kicks off next month. Today’s announcement was made by John Entz, President of Production & Executive Producer, FOX Sports.

“We are truly excited about the talented team of broadcasters we’ve assembled for what is sure to be our best college football season yet,” said Entz. “Our team of announcers offers a tremendous amount of experience and knowledge, allowing us to entertain and inform viewers at home, especially those who are joining us for the first time, as we look forward to welcoming in a new Big Ten audience.”

Play-by-play announcer Gus Johnson and analyst Joel Klatt return for their third season together in the booth as FOX Sports’ lead college football voices and are joined by sideline reporter Jenny Taft. Taft has been part of FOX Sports college football since 2014 and also serves as a reporter for the network’s soccer and supercross coverage, as well as in a variety of other roles. Johnson, Klatt and Taft pull double-duty on opening weekend beginning with Washington at Rutgers on Friday, Sept. 1, with coverage beginning at 7:00 PM ET on FS1 for the first Big Ten home game on the network, before flying across the country for Texas A&M at UCLA on Sunday, Sept. 3, on the FOX broadcast network, with coverage getting underway at 7:00 PM ET.

Sick klatt is one of the worst. I often wonder how some of these people get jobs announcing or doing analysis. Do they purposely look for people who don't actually show any objectivity? I guess I can always hope he will change his tune and be an objective analyst for this game. But I certainly will not be counting on it.

If you know football and have a copy of the teams' rosters, you don't need ANY of the blah blah blah from the talking heads.

You know going in all they are going to do is constantly talk about the hot seat.

You know who I like to listen to?

Stephen McGee. That guy knows his stuff inside and out, and he gives expert analysis of what's happening on the field at any point in the play... for either team. Sadly, he's too good for either FoxSports or ESPN to hire. Their loss, IMO. Wink Gig 'em

Why does Klatt seem to hate A&M so much?

Maybe the concussion from the t-sips in 2005? Am I thinking of the same buff QB?

TexAgs Studio stuff. I know it's as "homer" as it gets, but McGee's insight is off the chart good. This ain't Football 101; it's Football Tactics & Strategy 430 with a ton of prerequisites required before listening to it! Wink Which, of course, automatically excludes it from any kind of ESPN programming ... it's waaaaaaaayyyyyyy above their heads! Cool Gig 'em

Your opinion would change -- I'd suspect -- if you ever heard Klatt on BaD (Bob and Dan) Radio) on The Ticket here in D-FW.

The guy has his knives out for our beloved Aggies, trust me.

Isnt "Screamin" Gus and Joel "Flat Boring" the lead Fox team for college football?

The are pretty inept individually and as a team...

Except when they are calling a solid zhitstorm tesssssssus loss over the past 5 or 6 years. Then they are 34k GOLD! Screamin Gus feels like he is leaping out of the booth to keep tesssssssus in the game...then the failure is a royal funeral dirge of "what ifs" and candy butts. Love 'em!!

Sound will be off for me for sure.

I prefer to mute and listen to the Daves on radio. However, last year this did not work for me as the radio and TV were too out of sync

Goodson, I'm a P1 Day One of The Ticket and listen to Klatt on BAD Radio. Sorry, but I still disagree. I like him. He has opinions (and I don't always agree), but he is well spoken and genuine. He does have a PAC 12 slant, but I can look past that.

He revels in sticking the knife to us. Like him if you want ... but the guy has zero respect for our school and program and delights in giving us a thumb to the eye in each and every opportunity.

And if one doesn't present itself, he'll manufacture one.

Hmmm, your opinion is strong for sure. I will for sure be listening carefully. Given his slant towards the west coast, it will be interesting....

I try not to default to play the "victim card" when it comes to the media. I've worked in the media and I understand their job. But if Klatt isn't at the head of the class when it comes to the most negatively predisposed media representative regarding Aggie football, it doesn't take long to the roll.

There is this: even if and when we win, I'll bet his approach will stay unchanged.

I won't take Goodson's bet.

Cause I'll live to regret,

Goody is the best wagerer on Agtimes there has ever been...
