Use the game as a learning opportunity and how to play with other quality teams for future games downt he road. Winnable game but not the end of the world.

Yep. In spite of the "adversity" (aka pathetic referring...) the Ags were at two/three points either way from the entire second half. Never really had a "run" offensively. That is the first time that has happened this year. The reason; AZ play some REALLY tight defense on the perim. They could do that because they matched up with us down low.

On the negative side, we just gave away too may easy possessions on TO's...like the Hogg whiff in the middle of the lane on the two on one. That stuff adds up. The fall away tre by Az with the shot clock at "0" was flip to put them ahead.

Who's next.

I think the worst thing about the loss was listening to it on TV.
Rambling...
Bill's not a color guy.
We should have won, disappointing.

If you are an ESPN customer you can get it free by going to WATCHESPN on your computer and following the logon instructions...then click on replays and scroll down to the game and watch the replay.

That will work on any game that is broadcast on any of the ABC family of networks like eSPN, SEC Network, etc.

or as a subscriber to other cable services like Comcast or TWarn...

It doesn't take much to sync the radio call (tunein app) or online broadcast (TAMU service). The difference between the "live" and stream is minimal.

Thank you FDT & Blk for the help. I have watched sports on "watch espn", no problem there.

Finally hit mute on the tv last night, it was making me crazy(er).

Gonna have to figure out how to sync the radio with the tv. I'll look into that "tunein app".

Appreciate it guy's.

Good luck on doing that. Don't think you will "have to" mute the tv many more times this year--though it will be good to know ow to do it...

Is it just my disdain for Walton or did he sound as if he was on something?

He was riding his partner, kept waiting for play by play guy to back hand him.

I found it tough to listen to him.

1) We are loaded with talent;
2) I’m in a Minority but color me a Walton fan. Loved him since his days at UCLA. Dude is cut from a different cloth. Really liked the World B Free/Sonny Parker story last night.

you are not alone. Personally he was cracking me up. But yeah, he was trying to push his partner into saying something. Either he is stoned during his broadcasts or he has dementia.

Put me in that camp, too. I was a bit annoyed by him at first, but as the game progressed, I found him funny. His partner was gradually poking back too (i.e. "How about comparing these players to someone who's actually played in the last five years?"). Stoned is a good way to describe him. Laughing I used to hate his nasal tone while calling NBA games of yore. Now, not as much.

I saw the TV game a week or so AGO. Except for the Sony Parker story, THAT crew was objective and listenable.

What they mentioned was our Pre-conference schedule, was not only against Quality opponents but that our Travel could have some issues.

Well I kind of think we looked a little tired in this game. Ball movement wasn't the best. Might have been right.

Sucks to have dropped a winnable game, but that loss will stick with us all season.

Love the depth on this team. Looking forward to lots of W's.

People forget that Arizona started off the year ranked #2.

Yeah, they went 0 for 3 in their tournament. However, that is a loaded team.

We are still at least a Sweet 16 and maybe an Elite 8 caliber team.

Their two inside guys are going to be a very difficult match up for most teams. I didn't see their opening season losses but I'm with you. The early season losses are meaningless. The challenge is always tightening up as a "team" thru conf play and into conf tourney.

Az is a lot like A&M, IMO. Good guard play, decent shooters but the noticeable advantage was their defense around the perim. A&M had VERY FEW open looks, uncovered looks for tre's. After the open 11pt run. That TO reset their D...for the rest of the game.

A&M's O is very good to excellent. D? There are lapses and naps for stretches in each game so far. I'd like to see them be a bit more aggressive on defense. There is plenty of depth on the roster so playing tight D needs to improve.

...loathe Walton...completely obnoxious from his nasal whining to his arrogance to his ethereal delusion it would be very difficult to find a more pathetic excuse for a color guy, have to dig deep in the retread pile to find any has-been in the same zip code.

I would love to sit down and talk with Walton. Absolutely horrible as a color guy. Wrong time and place for him.

I like Walton, but then I'm the lone guy who likes Beth Mowan too. He is NOT boring.

Ask BLK for some of his ganga, then you might be able to comprehend Walton. Very Happy

Listening to Walton took me back to the mid 50's listening to the Baseball Game of the Week with Dizzy Dean. Dizzy drank beer during the broadcasts and you never really knew what was going to come out of his mouth. It was always entertaining though.

Yea, I can still hear Dizzy Dean' as the cameraman focuses on a young couple caressing in the stands----"there's a couple that really knows how to watch baseball. He kisses her on the strikes and she kisses him on the uh, uh Falstaff Beer."
