^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

Could we be so lucky?

That is exactly what they need--another running QB that is not a great thrower to further divide the team's loyalties in the big pass-happy BDF...

MUCH RATHER SEE THEM DO THAT THAN GET AN A+ PASSING QB

Feldman also reports Noel Mazzone, who was Sumlin’s offensive coordinator the last two season at A&M and previously was at UCLA, will have that same position at Arizona. (Here is a good writeup on Mazzone.)

Sumlin will reportedly bring running backs coach Clarence McKinney to Tucson, too.

McKinney had been given the opportunity to stay at A&M in an off-field role but will reportedly join the Wildcats' staff as well

I think that Coach McKinney has a lot of positives for a program to which we just aren't privy. Maybe his relationships with the Texas high school coaches or just the Houston-area coaches, i don't know.

I have heard he is a good mentor-figure to the kids, as well.

I think there are probably a lot of RB coaches that might be better suited for A&M purposes recruiting, developing and coaching our RBs, however.

Methinks that with his size and leg strength and athleticism, Jalen Hurts would make a sensational running back...I hope he and Nick do not think of that BAMA is bad enough with Tua under center.

Since Vandy rarely throws the ball and usually does so poorly when it does, this may be a match made in heaven.

Still sorry to see banks go. Not sure if it was his or our choice.

I really do not want to see what BAMA's ST's will be like with Banks. They are already just nasty...blocking punts, blocking field goals, kick off returns, punt returns...ugh.

I guess Gillaspia blocking that punt on BAMA got Banks the job.

So they missed Schorp's whiff on the Auburn blocked punt against us? Think

Bama better get it's licks in while it still can.

Banks reminds me of that line in one of the Raiders of the Lost Ark. The one when the Templar said, "He chose poorly."

Was interesting to me that there is no mention of Sumlin having hired a S&C coach yet.

I'm guessing that LJ and Hocke would not have been forthcoming with a strong recommendation to sign on the dotted line.

Cool
