Great FG block by the Dawgs. All the pressure swung to the Sooners ... and Georgia breaks a run into the end zone to finish it.

Gets to play for a NC in their own back yard.

Starting to look like an all-SEC final. Bama up 10-0 with their D totally dominating quarter 1. It would be teacher versus pupil.

I truly do NOT want Bama in the final, but it appears that may be the case. Again. Rolling Eyes

Conversely, I very much look forward to the Georgia Bulldogs playing in the final. As to the "other" game, I find myself wandering more into the Kirk Herbstreit camp from several weeks ago when Bama was selected over Ohio State as the 4th team. He rolled his eyes then in disgust, and I'm doing the same now. Rolling Eyes Brick wall

no matter our personal feelings, Bama deserved to be here. Kirk was disgusted because he is a big 10 guy. Ohio state to be exact. If he does not like it then he should encourage Ohio state or some other big 10 team to go undefeated in a weaker conference.

Interesting that the Big 10 was shut out of the playoffs but will have the best bowl record this season. The SEC will have a losing bowl record but have two teams in the champ game.

There is a certain amount of logic to that. Each SEC team is playing "one-up" on their bowl chain. Each Big 10 team is playing "one-down" from where they would be with a rep in the top 4. The clear dog of this bowl season is pac-12...playing "one-down" AND going 1-7. Wow.

Curious to see how the Tide Defense matches up with the 3-headed rushing attack of Georgia. It's gonna be a good one!

Yep, strength vs strength. Also KS looking to break Satan’s streak of never losing to a former assistant.

Additionally, half of the big 10’s bowl schedule was made up of pac 12 teams.

Not personally a big NFL fan since Landry was fired, but per a radio snippet here are the Top 5 teams in the NFL for "Opponents Points Against"

1 Minnesota 15.8
2 Jacksonville 16.8
3 LA Chargers 17.0
4 Philadelphia 18.4
5 New England 18.5

So, what are you saying, Agalyst?... in some oblique way that "defense wins championships," perhaps?! Cool Big Grin Gig 'em
